FUTTIES Team 1 dropped July 24 at 18:00 UTC. It is now Day 2 — real fodder prices are in, three fresh SBCs went live on the 25th, and six new Evolutions are stacked on top of the Best of Re-Release Batch 1 pool. If you logged in this morning and saw six new tiles in the Objectives menu and no idea which to touch first, this is the recap for you — every new SBC, every Evolution, every re-released card that matters, with a plain verdict on each.
Short answer up top: Ferland Mendy 97 LB is the run-away value SBC of Day 2. Renato Sanches 96 CM is a niche upgrade for Ligue 1 sides only. The 10x 85 Upgrade is a straight fodder printer — do it every day it refreshes. On the Evolutions side, Speed Merchant is the one to lock in early because pace ceilings are getting a real boost that will not stay cheap for long.
FUTTIES is the end-of-cycle celebration promo — every week for four weeks EA re-releases a themed batch of the season's most-used promo cards (Best of Re-Release Batches 1-4) alongside fresh flagship cards, new Icons, and stacked Evolutions. Week 1 launched July 24 with the first Team 1 lineup and the Best of Re-Release Batch 1 pool. Day 2 (July 25-26) is the traditional "fodder-verdict" window: enough packs have been opened for real 82-85 rated player prices to settle, so SBC solutions posted on Day 0 need to be re-costed with today's market. Every number below is based on the July 26 market snapshot — expect small drift as the week runs.
Three new SBCs went live on July 25 in the FUTTIES tab. Two are player SBCs (Renato Sanches and Ferland Mendy), one is a straight upgrade pack. Verdicts first, deep dive under each card.

Stats: 96 PAC / 90 SHO / 90 PAS / 91 DRI / 92 DEF / 99 PHY. Position LB (with +/++ chemistry style extensions).
Verdict: No brainer. 96 Pace + 99 Physical on a full-back is a template that has always finished the meta at the top of every FC / FIFA cycle. The 92 Defending base with any Shadow style pushes DEF above 96, and the 99 PHY means he wins every shoulder-barge and tracks Mbappé-tier runners without breaking. Passing at 90 is also enough to switch play from deep — you are not gimping build-up to get a wall of defence.
Total cost snapshot (July 26): five squads, roughly 320-360k coins in tradeable fodder if you are buying nothing but 84-86 rareds. If you have been sitting on FUTTIES Batch 1 unwanted rewards, you can chunk 60-80k off that just by using duplicates.
Who should skip: nobody, unless you already have a 96+ rated LB in the meta pool (Theo Hernández TOTS, Mendy IF stacks). Even then, this is chemistry gold for Ligue 1 hybrids.

Stats: 93 PAC / 93 SHO / 96 PAS / 96 DRI / 91 DEF / 94 PHY. Position CM (with +/++ chemistry style extensions).
Verdict: The stat line is exceptional on paper — 96 PAS and 96 DRI on a box-to-box CM is a top-tier engine — but Renato Sanches has a well-known injury history that has kept him out of most competitive squads for two seasons. The card itself is meta-strong; the market interest is not. Expect this to be one of the cheaper 96-rated CMs of the FUTTIES cycle for that reason.
Total cost snapshot (July 26): four squads, roughly 200-240k coins in fodder. Cheaper than Mendy because market demand is lower and the second squad only asks for one 84 rared.
Who should do it: Ligue 1 chemistry stackers running a Bayern-alumni midfield (Sanches slots next to Kimmich TOTS beautifully), fodder-rich players who want a cheap 96 to complete objectives.
Who should skip: anyone with a 95+ CM already in the meta pool. There will be flashier Team 2 CMs later this week.
This is a straight fodder printer — submit a single 82-rated squad, get 10 rare gold picks with a guaranteed 85+ rating. The pack is untradeable but the picks are player-picks (choose 1 of 3), so you can actually target useful fodder rather than getting stuck with unusable positions.
Total cost snapshot (July 26): 6-8k coins per submission depending on how aggressive you are hunting cheap 82s.
Refresh cadence: daily so far this promo. Do it once every 24 hours for the entire FUTTIES cycle — the 10 picks compounding over 28 days is enough fodder to complete two 96-rated player SBCs solo.
Batch 1 launched with Team 1 on July 24 and stays in packs until July 31 at 18:00 UTC. This is the "community's favourite cards from earlier in the cycle" pool — the cards below all originally released between November 2025 and April 2026 and have been re-boosted with FUTTIES stat upgrades.
| Card | Original Promo | FUTTIES Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Phil Foden 97 RW++ | Ultimate Scream (October 2025 base) | Full 5-star weak-foot boost, 99 DRI on Hunter |
| Ferland Mendy 97 LB (SBC) | Knockout Royalty base | SBC-locked, see above |
| Cruyff 97 CAM++ (GotG) | Greats of the Game (June 2026) | In packs, ultra-low pull rate |
| Di Natale 97 ST++ (Futties Hero) | Base Heroes upgraded | Repeatable Hero SBC, still live |
| Phil Foden 97 RW++ (SBC) | Same base, cheaper SBC path | Pre-existing SBC, cheapest solution ~ 380k |

Stats: 95 PAC / 94 SHO / 92 PAS / 99 DRI / 84 DEF / 90 PHY. 5-star skills, 5-star weak foot, playable on both wings and at CAM. This is the pre-existing FUTTIES SBC from launch day that stays available all week — Day 2 solution costs have settled around 380k coins, down from 460k on Day 0 as fodder prices normalise.

Stats: 96 PAC / 99 SHO / 93 PAS / 95 DRI / 60 DEF / 84 PHY. Serie A Hero chemistry is 3-link with any Serie A player — enormous chemistry flexibility. Repeatable SBC, one solution per week for the entire promo cycle. Cost per repeat has settled around 240-260k on July 26.

Cruyff GotG (95 PAC / 95 SHO / 94 PAS / 98 DRI / 46 DEF / 83 PHY) is back in packs this week as part of the Batch 1 pull pool. Do not open packs specifically hunting him — pull rates on 97-rated Icons during a re-release week sit somewhere near 1 in 3,500 packs on average. If you get him, celebrate; if you do not, do not chase.
Six new Evolutions dropped between July 24 and July 26 — five of them landed in a single 24-hour window on the 25th. Here is the fast rundown with a rating on each:
| Evolution | Position Focus | Cost | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed Merchant | Any (pace focus) | Free | Lock immediately — +5 PAC on any 88 OVR is meta |
| 5 Star Factory Store | Any | Free (store cost) | 5-star weak-foot upgrade on 87 base — worth it for wingers |
| No Way Through | CB / CDM | Free | Defender-only, +6 DEF / +4 PHY — good for a specific fullback build |
| Strike Force Is Back | ST / CF | Free | Shooting-focused striker path, uses a base 86 |
| Set Piece FC | Any (dead-ball) | Free | Adds Dead Ball+ and Power Header+ — niche |
| Elite Midfielder | CM / CAM | Free | Solid all-round CM boost, no meta-defining PlayStyles+ |
| The Metronome (July 24) | Deep-lying CM | Free | Long-passing spec — good for Xabi-alumni cards |
Slot priority for a normal squad-building session:
FUTTIES Week 1 has three separate Objective tracks running in parallel — Live Play, Squad Battles, and Season Progress. The most impactful is the Season Progress track that pays out roughly 1,000 FUTTIES tokens per week when completed, with a hard cap of 5,000 tokens per player for the entire promo. Tokens are spent in the Token Store on player picks and Batch Pack upgrades.
Rough token targets for Day 2 completions:
Do not spend tokens on packs — the pick options in the Token Store are worth several hundred K each and pull rates on Team 1 in packs are still bad this early in the cycle. Save tokens, spend on picks, use the picks to fund next week's SBCs.
| Date (UTC) | Event | Action |
|---|---|---|
| July 24, 18:00 | Team 1 launch + Batch 1 | Done |
| July 25 | 3 new SBCs + 5 new Evos | Do Mendy, lock Speed Merchant |
| July 27 | Objective refresh window | Bank tokens |
| July 29-30 | Team 2 leak window / mid-week | Save fodder |
| July 31, 18:00 | Week 1 ends, Team 2 + Batch 2 launch | Re-evaluate all SBCs |
Three concrete moves for the next 72 hours:
Day 2 of FUTTIES Week 1 is the best value window of the promo so far. Ferland Mendy is a legitimate meta upgrade at Ligue 1 chemistry cost, the 10x 85 Upgrade is free daily fodder, and Speed Merchant is the strongest of the six new Evolutions. Everything else is optional. Team 2 leaks will start hitting on July 29-30 — do the value SBCs now, bank the rest, and re-evaluate on July 31 when Batch 2 rewrites the pool.
