Balance Updates

In the latest Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR patch released by Blizzard, we're seeing significant changes for the Rogue class. This exciting update runs from August 19th to the 26th and offers a range of skill buffs and enhancements that every Rogue player should know about.

The updates include buffs to various skills like Flurry and Twisting Blades, and adjustments to the Condemnation unique item, making this season a vital one for improving your gameplay.

Skills

Here's a detailed look at the skill modifications:

  • Barrage: Damage increased from 22% to 25%.
  • Flurry: Damage reduced from 150% to 140%.
  • Penetrating Shot: Damage increased from 95% to 110%.
  • Rapid Fire: Damage increased from 40% to 45%.
  • Twisting Blades: Impale damage reduced from 70% to 30%; return damage reduced from 112% to 70%.
  • Enhanced Twisting Blades: Damage bonus increased from 35% to 45%.
  • Death Trap: Pull range increased by 100%.
  • Dance of Knives: Cooldown reduced when deactivating while having 1 charge or less; high chance to prioritize champions, elites, and bosses.
  • Advanced Penetrating Shot: Updated tooltip clarifying that damage bonus refers only to Penetrating Shot.

Primary Forceful Arrow: Previously allowed every third cast to pierce through all enemies hit. The updated version now enables Forceful Arrow to pierce through the first enemy and grants a 30% chance to execute injured non-boss enemies.

Fundamental Forceful Arrow: Previously knocked back non-elite enemies when close. The current update allows it to knock back close enemies and immobilize them for 2.5 seconds, causing immobilized enemies to take 50% increased damage from you during this effect.

Passives

The passive Aftermath now provides a consistent energy refund of 35 rather than scaling with ranks, enhancing the Rogue's efficiency in battle.

Legendary Aspects

The Bladedancer’s Aspect now provides an increased damage bonus, rising from 60-80% to a stunning 100%-120%.

Unique Items

Significant changes have also been made to unique items:

  • Condemnation: Previously, your Core Skills dealt 50-70% increased damage after spending 3 Combo Points, and Basic Skills using this weapon had a 50% chance to generate 3 Combo Points. Now, casting Basic Skills guarantees the generation of 3 Combo Points.
  • Grasp of Shadow: The chance to spawn a Shadow Clone has been improved from 30-50% to 40-80%.
  • Eaglehorn: Damage increased from 40-80% to an impressive 110-150%.
  • Windforce: Increased the chance to deal additional damage and Knockdown from 30-50% to 50-75%.
  • Cutthroat Finesse: The vulnerable damage aspect has been removed, making it a cleaner mechanic.

New Rogue Unique Items

Alongside the various buffs, Rogues will receive a brand new Two-Handed Unique Crossbow in Season 10:

Orphan Maker (Unique Two-Handed Crossbow)

Affixes:

  • Inherent: +130% Vulnerable damage
  • +4-6 Ranks to Marksman Skills
  • +2-4 Ranks to Exploit
  • +32-45% Chance for Marksman Skills to Cast Twice
  • +125-170% Vulnerable damage

Unique Power: Basic and Core skills using this weapon will now reload. Reload Skills gain a 250-300% damage increase, with every second Reload Skill receiving double this bonus.

New Keyword: Reload

Skills with the Reload keyword experience a slight delay before casting again, benefiting from 50% of your Attack Speed Bonus during this period.

Bug Fixes

Additionally, players can look forward to several bug fixes targeting Rogue skills:

  • Resolved an issue where Bladedancer’s Aspect was not correctly contributing to the damage from Enhanced Twisting Blades.
  • Fixed a bug where the Daze effect from Improved Twisting Blades was not applying as intended.
  • Corrected an issue where the Poison Trap was causing Knockdown without the need for learning Enhanced Poison Trap.

These updates ensure the Rogue class is more dynamic and balanced than ever before. As you explore these new changes, consider enhancing your gameplay experience with cheap Diablo 4 items to improve your builds and dominate the game!

With these insights in hand, Rogue players should take full advantage of the new mechanics in Season 10. Keep an eye out for the official release and make sure to fine-tune your skills accordingly. Happy hunting!
