Diablo 4 Season 11: Crafting Made Cheaper and Simpler

Are you a dedicated player of Diablo 4, feeling overwhelmed by your stockpile of Veiled Crystals and Forgotten Souls? The latest update for Season 11 brings some exciting changes that streamline the crafting system, making it less resource-intensive and much more accessible! From enchanting and tempering to salvaging and creating gear, Blizzard has thoroughly reworked the crafting processes to enhance your gameplay experience.

Crafting Costs Simplified

One of the most significant changes is that the costs of crafting materials no longer scale with the item's power level. This means that whether you are crafting a simple rare item or a powerful ancestral piece, your material costs will remain the same fixed price. The only exception is that gold costs are still retained at their original rates.

Blizzard also announced that crafting will "generally never cost more than two types of crafting materials,” making the whole process much more straightforward. This simplification is a welcome change for all players who enjoy upgrading and fine-tuning their gear.

What Changed Exactly

  • Imprinting:
    • The previous system that required multiple materials for imprinting has been completely removed.
    • Now, crafting a rare item costs just 5 Veiled Crystals along with a gold fee.
    • Ancestral Legendaries require 5 Forgotten Souls and gold for imprinting.
  • Enchanting:
    • Enchanting a rare item now only requires 10 Veiled Crystals.
    • Ancestral Legendaries require 10 Forgotten Souls, with gold costs scaling per re-roll.
  • Tempering:
    • Players can choose the desired affix from a Temper Manual, eliminating reliance on RNG.
    • Costs for tempering have also seen significant changes
      • Rare items now need 25 Common Salvage plus 5 Veiled Crystals.
      • Ancestral Legendaries now require 25 Legendary Salvage and 25 Forgotten Souls.
    • Additionally, Scrolls of Restoration have been modified to restore only one temper charge but can be used infinitely.
  • Salvaging:
    • The materials obtained from salvaging have been completely rebalanced.
    • When salvaging a Rare item, you now receive 5 Common Salvage and 2 Veiled Crystals.
    • Ancestral Legendaries provide 5 Legendary Salvage and 1 Forgotten Soul.
    • Mythic Uniques grant you a whopping 1,000 Legendary Salvage and 100 Forgotten Souls, in addition to the Resplendent Spark.
  • Masterworking:
    • While the amount of Obducite earned has decreased by 85%, recipe requirements for it have been similarly reduced.

Alchemist and Vendor Updates

The Alchemist has also received some new recipes for converting materials:

  • Enrich Scrap: Converts Rawhide and Iron Chunk into Veiled Crystals.
  • Refine Materials: Converts Veiled Crystals into Forgotten Souls or Legendary Salvage.

Moreover, items' sell values have decreased by 60%, while purchase costs have dropped by 90%. This means you can now acquire gear or materials from vendors without spending vast amounts of gold.

Overall, Blizzard aims to eliminate the tedious juggling of materials and create a more fluid upgrade experience for players. The crafting process in Season 11 is designed to be less punishing, allowing players to focus on enjoying the endgame content instead of getting bogged down by resource management.

For those who are looking for Diablo 4 items for sale or Diablo IV items for sale, now is a great time to hit back to the forge and make the most out of these changes!

Happy crafting and good luck on your journey through Sanctuary!
