Seed Adjustments
Hoyoverse has made a surprise announcement just a week before the official release of Zenless Zone Zero 2.2. Significant adjustments have been made to the characters Seed and Orphie & Magus, focusing on their core abilities and gameplay mechanics. Players eager to enhance their gaming experience need to be aware of these changes!
Here’s a breakdown of Seed’s adjustments:
- Core Skill
- New Additional Ability: Surprise Strike
- Seed's basic attacks, specifically Falling Petals – Slaughter, Downfall, and Clockwork Garden – Bloom! will now inflict 30% extra damage while ignoring 25% of enemy Electric resistance.
- Mindscapes
- Mindscape 2 (New):
- While Besiege is active, the agent's damage will ignore 20% of enemy DEF.
- By activating the EX Special Attack: Raining Iron Petals after consuming 60 energy, further energy can be consumed to prolong the skill duration up to a max of 120 energy.
- For every 5 energy consumed, the next Falling Petals – Slaughter will gain an additional 5% damage.
- Mindscape 4:
- Besiege will now increase Decibel Generation Rate by 10%.
- Ultimate damage bonus has been raised from 15% to 20%.
- Damage Coefficient Changes
- EX Special Attack:
- Iron Petal Storm: damage reduced from 1399% to 1367.6%.
- Daze (Iron Petal Storm): damage reduced from 903% to 880.5%.
- Iron Petal Storm (secondary value): lowered from 46.5% to 37.1%.
- Ultimate:
- Clockwork Garden – Bloom!: decreased from 6547% to 6500.2%.
- Ultimate Daze: reduced from 922.2% to 894%.
- Quick Assist: Petal Storm: decreased from 323.1% to 308%.
- Quick Assist Daze: reduced from 121.4% to 115.5%.
- Dodge Counter: Blooming Splendor: lowered from 661.8% to 640.2%.
- Dodge Counter Daze: decreased from 394.3% to 382.5%.
Overall, Seed benefits from a combination of buffs, including a new passive skill and DEF ignoring capabilities, while experiencing minor nerfs to damage coefficients.
Orphie & Magus Adjustments
The adjustments for Orphie & Magus are noteworthy as well:
- Ultimate – Dance with Fire
- This skill now performs a spinning attack followed by firing a laser that deals Fire damage.
- When leaping into the air, a Quick Assist will automatically trigger.
- If a Quick Assist is activated, this will extend the duration of the laser fire.
- Activating this ultimate restores 20 Bottled Heat.
- Core Passive – Ride the Wind and Flame
- Removed component: When using the Ultimate with 100 or more Bottled Heat, causing Zeroed In effect for all squad members.
- Mindscapes
- Mindscape 2:
- Changed effect from CRIT DMG +40% to ATK +20% for 30s → 45s.
- Mindscape 4:
- Zeroed In effect duration increased to 18s.
- EX Special Attack + Ultimate damage bonus boosted to 45%.
- Hotfix Updates
- Ultimate no longer consumes heat when at full capacity.
- Ultimate no longer applies the Zeroed In effect directly.
- Both Ultimate and Chain Attack now restore 20 Heat each.
While Orphie & Magus have seen slight nerfs regarding buffs and scaling, overall quality-of-life improvements have been made to their Heat management, enhancing gameplay flow.
