While the announcement is pending official confirmation, players can anticipate a maintenance period prior to the update, which will go live at 4 AM (BST). For those in the United States, the actual release will occur on the night of Tuesday, August 12th at 11 PM (ET).

Honkai Star Rail 3.5 Banners

With version 3.5, players will have the chance to unlock two new 5-Star characters: Hysilens and Cerydra.

Phase 1 of the banners will kick off with Hysilens, a new 5-Star Physical attacker from The Nihility path featured on her Winedark Swansong Banner, alongside the returning 5-Star Lightning attacker Kafka from The Nihility path appearing on her Nessun Norma Banner.

The boosted 4-Star characters for Phase 1 will include:

• Asta (Fire, The Harmony)
• Arlan (Lightning, The Destruction)
• Hook (Fire, The Destruction)

Although the exact dates are yet to be confirmed, Phase 1 of the 3.5 banners is likely to run from August 13th to September 3rd.

Moving on to Phase 2, the spotlight will shift to Cerydra, another new 5-Star character, alongside a rerun of Silver Wolf. Cerydra, a 5-Star Wind attacker of The Harmony path, will be available on her The Iron Tamer of Tides Banner, while Silver Wolf returns as a 5-Star Quantum attacker of The Nihility on her Contract Zero Banner.

The boosted 4-Star characters in Phase 2 include:

• Sampo (Wind, The Nihility)
• Qingque (Quantum, The Erudition)
• Dan Heng (Wind, The Hunt)

Phase 2 is likely to span from September 3rd to September 23rd.

In summary, the new and returning 5-Star characters available in version 3.5 will be:

• Hysilens (Winedark Swansong Banner - Phase 1): New 5-Star Physical character from The Nihility path.

Moreover, in the Bygone Reminiscene Banner, Kafka's returning 5-Star signature Light Cone, 'Patience Is All You Need', will be available in Phase 1. In Phase 2, Silver Wolf's returning 5-Star signature Light Cone, 'Incessant Rain', will also make a return.

Honkai Star Rail 3.5 Events

The version 3.5 update for Honkai: Star Rail will introduce various exciting new elements, including:

• New Trailblaze Mission Chapter - Before Their Deaths
• New Areas - Styxia, the City of Infinite Revelry
• New Boss - Lygus
• The formidable Lygus can apply two effects to players, potentially allowing them to activate their Ultimate, but at a significant HP cost. He will switch between two battle forms, generating 'Titankin' in his first form and summoning 'Black Tide Creatures' in the second, posing a high threat level for players.
• New Character ice-type Ascension Material - Sea Siren's Torn Fin, obtainable from Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Sirens.
• Ability to switch individual voice-overs for certain collaborating characters, enabling interaction with their voices in either English or Japanese.
