FC 26 World's Game Update: Festival of Football Complete Guide — June 4 Launch, Free Pelé & What to Do Now

Here's the short version: log into FC 26 FUT on June 4 and you get a free 93 OVR Icon Pelé. No SBC, no grind — just log in. If that alone isn't enough to get you back in the game, the rest of the Festival of Football content probably will be. EA announced The World's Game Update on May 27, and it is the biggest FUT content drop of the second half of FC 26. Five weeks of stuff, starting June 4, ending July 3.

🎁 Free 93 OVR Pelé — What's the Catch?

There is no catch. EA confirmed it: log into FC 26 FUT between June 4 and July 3 and you receive a 93 OVR Festival of Football Icon Pelé as a login reward. The card is untradeable (bound to your account), but it's still a 93-rated Icon in your squad for free. That's not nothing — especially for players who skipped the end-of-TOTS market and are rebuilding.

Note: our get_player_card database does not yet have the Festival of Football Pelé card indexed (pre-launch). Once it's live on June 4, full stats will appear. We'll update this article with the card image and full attributes on launch day.

🪙 Token Store — How It Works

The Token Store is a new system for the Festival of Football. You earn Festival Tokens through:

• Journey of Nations weekly objectives (main source)
• Path to Glory milestones
• Selected SBCs
• FUT Champs / Division Rivals rewards

Tokens are redeemed in the Token Store for promo packs, player picks, and exclusive Festival of Football cards. Think of it like a Season Pass reward track but for FUT — the more objectives you clear, the better the store gets. Don't sit on tokens: the store expires July 3.

🔄 Evo Undo — Finally

This is the quality-of-life feature the community has been asking for since Evo launched. Starting June 4, you can undo an Evolution on any card using Evo Undo Tokens. EA hasn't published exact token costs yet, but the system lets you reclaim your base card and re-apply an Evo elsewhere. Huge for players who evolved a card during TOTS and now want to reset for the Path to Glory meta.

⚡ Path to Glory (June 5–19) — What to Expect

Path to Glory is the World Cup–era promo where player cards upgrade in real-time based on international match results. If your PTG player's nation wins their group, the card gets a stat bump. If they go deep in the tournament, the card can hit 95+ OVR by the end. It's one of the most exciting FUTs to trade around because prices swing wildly with each result.

What we know so far: EA has not revealed PTG player names as of May 30. Card reveals will drop June 5 at reset. Check back here for our Day 1 PTG evaluation guide the moment cards are live.

What to do right now: hold 300–500K liquid coins. PTG Day 1 SBCs are almost always overpriced (panic-buy market). Wait 48h for fodder prices to settle before committing.

🌍 Journey of Nations — 5-Week Grind Worth It?

Journey of Nations is a 5-continent challenge chain running the full 5 weeks. Each week focuses on a different continental confederation (UEFA, CONMEBOL, CAF, AFC, CONCACAF). Complete the weekly objectives to earn Festival Tokens and unlock promo player rewards. Yes, it's an objective grind — but unlike most EA grinds, the rewards feed directly into the Token Store. Worth doing. Set 30 minutes aside each week.

✅ What to Do Right Now (May 30)

• Log in June 4. Free Pelé alone is worth it. Don't forget.
• Hold your fodder — PTG SBC costs are unknown until June 5. Don't burn 84/85 cards on low-value exchanges today.
• Hold 300–500K coins liquid for Path to Glory Day 1. If you're short, now is the time to lazy sell dead TOTS cards.
• Start Journey of Nations Week 1 immediately on June 4 — weekly objectives expire and tokens don't roll over if you miss them.
• If you want Rivellino or Kempes, save coins for June 19. New Icon releases always spike then dip — buy on day 3–5, not day 1.
